For the second year in a row, BEAT was recognized by the Jordan Web Awards and Microsoft for the design and development of the Zain Jordan Portal (http://www.jo.zain.com) at the 3rd Jordan Web Awards ceremony that was held at the Grand Hyatt Amman on January 24, 2009.

In addition to achieving the Gold Award in the Telecommunications category, BEAT & Zain received the Diamond Award for Best Website of the Year and the Microsoft Award for the Best Website Built on Microsoft Technology.  The Zain Jordan Portal was recognized for its creativity, ease of use and navigation, visual design and download speed. The website was fully designed and developed using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

The General Manager of Zain, Dr. Ahmed Shatti, mentioned that “Zain won those awards for its distinguished achievements through offering the best telecommunication services in the region, noting that winning those three awards for the year 2008 qualifies it to compete in the upcoming Pan Arab Awards”

Dr. Shatti added that “the company is working hard to offer its clients the best in the industry, a matter that requires the adoption of the latest available technology which in this case proved to be the implementation of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007.” 

On his part, the founder and CEO of BEAT, Mr. Mohab Murrar, said “it is an honor and a great pleasure to receive such prestigious awards under different categories and this is in itself a great recognition for our excellence in what we offer our clients.”

Mr. Murrar, seized the opportunity to thank the BEAT team members, who spared no effort to achieve customer satisfaction and great success stories in a highly competitive IT market. Mr. Murrar also thanked the team of Zain who showed high cooperation and made every effort to successfully accomplish this big project. And finally he thanked the Jordan Web Awards committee and Microsoft for their encouragement for all sectors to showcase their websites and be more involved in the IT arena.

The General Manager of Microsoft – Jordan, Mr. Zeid Shubailat, said “we, at Microsoft, are so proud that the Zain Portal won the award for Best Website of the Year and Best Website Built on Microsoft Technology, adding that the Portal was fully developed utilizing Microsoft Technologies and this is the second year that Zain receives such an award.” Mr. Shubailat pointed out that Zain won two golden awards in 2007, five months after launching its new website portal.”
