In 2007, Jordan’s largest mobile telecommunications company, Fastlink, became Zain Jordan when its parent company adopted the name Zain Group. A corporate rebranding initiative mandated that the company update its Web presence, which Zain Jordan saw as a good time to extend the site’s capabilities to simplify content management and provide more opportunities for customer interaction. The company turned to Blue Energy for Advanced Technologies, a Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner, which deployed Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 for its useful templates, customization features, and easy integration with other technologies. Now the site not only has a new look, but also fresher content, because content owners update it themselves, without help from IT. Customers can communicate with Zain online and easily make changes to their accounts. The site has already won two usability awards.
