RSCN to Improve Eco-Tourism Operations using BEAT Profusion ERP Solution

The RSCN launched a series of projects, funded by USAID/Siyaha that will manage its eco-tourism operations effectively

Amman, October 23, 2007 – BEAT, a Jordanian technology and software development company, has signed an agreement with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) to implement a complete Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) solution known as Profusion, and to develop e-services to facilitate customer bookings throughout Jordan.

Funded by a one-year grant agreement from the USAID/Jordan Tourism Development Project (Siyaha), BEAT’s Profusion solution and e-services will improve quality, accessibility and the interface between various departments at RSCN, as well as with Wild Jordan, the business unit of RSCN which develops socio-economic programmes in all of Jordan's nature reserves.

Profusion is a bilingual web-based ERP solution specially designed for the local market. The e-services will allow visitors to the nature reserves to conduct online bookings for accommodation and pre-order meals during their stay, in addition to a number of other associated services. The booking system will provide RSCN with the ability to improve and speed up the guest booking procedures, and create additional marketing exposure to attract potential guests and visitors.

Mr. Yehya Khaled, Director General of the RSCN said: "We are launching a series of projects that aim to improve our ability to manage eco-tourism operations effectively in Jordan, and in order to maintain our role as the primary agency for eco-tourism development in the Kingdom we needed a professional and reliable partner to help us achieve our goal—and we found what we needed in BEAT."

Mr. Mohab Murrar, CEO and Founder of BEAT, said, "Profusion has proven to be a very successful product that is being used by numerous Jordanian organizations who require an effective ERP solution to serve their local, regional, and international business needs."
He added, "Moreover, our partnership with RSCN is a unique one because BEAT will actually be contributing to Jordan’s overall objectives with regards tourism, attracting and retaining local and international tourists, and providing end-to-end services that are of international standards."

Mr. Mohammed Khalil, Business Development Manager at BEAT, said, “We are truly convinced that our people’s exceptional experience in the ERP domain coupled with our continuous after-sales support will be of great value to the RSCN. This is BEAT’s first project with USAID and RSCN and we look forward to a long-term and successful partnership.”

Profusion is a Microsoft-based solution that was developed by Jordanian experts using Microsoft bleeding-edge development languages and tools. Profusion is bilingual web-based solution that has been implemented at some of Jordan’s leading organizations and businesses including the Social Security Corporation, King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB), Jordan Investment Board (JIB) and Arab Telemedia Services (ATS) among others.
